To Dance or Not To Dance

Blog, Exercise | admin

Ladies, we have woke early, rushed breakfast, done the school run, headed to work, returned, only to find a pile of dishes and dinner to cook. We have children to entertain and educate and put to bed, if only we could do the same.

There are still one hundred and one things to do around the house, before it all starts again tomorrow. The downfall of being a woman is we cannot sit still or clear our minds, even for a minute without feeling guilty.

The clock strikes seven pm, can we really motivate our tired selves to change into our work-out gear and head to Zumba, when all we feel like is flopping on the sofa. Ladies this is probably the only hour in the week when we can clear our mind and do something for ourselves for a change. Once we have actually made the effort to get there, should we just hide at the back and put in zero effort or really exert ourselves and push to the front with guns blazing and bums shaking with the biggest smile ever. Your instructor will thank-you for doing the latter because they must be a tad lonely at the front on their own, willing everyone to smile.

We have the issue of sweating, I love to sweat during exercise because I actually feel like I have achieved something and you are probably with me on that one. After all the effort of finally getting there, we should put in one hundred per cent as we are doing this for ourselves and reaping the benefits both physically and mentally.

Ladies what’s a well spent £4.50? I take this view, years ago I wouldn’t think twice about spending twenty to thirty pounds on a Saturday night on alcohol and only have a hangover to show for it. Obviously I didn’t care back then as a naïve eighteen year old student but now I am older, I look at my body differently and wonder why I abused it week in, week out. Of course I am not suggesting that we should never go out and drink again but we should be a little more aware of how we treat our bodies.

For a small sum of £4.50, you can have a fantastic hour which will do more for you than a glass of wine, and you will have something to show for it as you will soon notice those inches falling off and you will feel noticeably fitter. Staying fit for life requires us to change our attitudes and mind-set, so let’s get focused and get moving.
