Hi I am Shirley, a woman on a mission. I need to share with the women of the world the TRUTH about getting into the best shape of
their lives. I have chosen a fantastic team who share this vision. We understand what women are like because we are women too!
My background is fitness based and from the age of 16 I knew nothing else would satisfy me as a career choice. Now in my late thirties I feel better every year knowing that I do not have to grow old gracefully! When you know how your body works you can keep it in tip top shape. Don’t get me wrong, it requires you to take action and do some exercise but this is where we help!
Like any profession there are tricks of the trade and we will share them with you to make sure you don’t waste any of your precious time and money following fad exercise equipment and diets.
I personally love to lift weights, do Yoga for amazing strength and flexibility and Pilate’s for a waistline that is strong and tight. I love to dance to for fun, bust stress and keep the heart and lungs working. I have taught classes to large groups and personal trained in all of these disciplines since 1999. With all those ingredients and a healthy eating plan I believe you have a great all round solution to staying young and living your life to the max! Let us share it with you.

Becky Jackson
Hi I’m Becky from Middleton. You might have seen me dancing at the front of Shirley’s class or have come to my class on a Sunday morning.
I have danced all my life taking exams and competing in disco freestyle, street dance and Latin and ballroom and I am also a fitness freak and currently at college training to be a personal trainer.
I absolutely love Zumba, the music, and the moves and simply just the way anyone can do it, as long as you’re moving and having fun that’s all that matters!
My favourite style is Merengue but love anything fast and energetic!

Simone Holmes
Hi my name is Simone from Middleton, I Graduated six years ago from The Arden School Of Theatre in Manchester, ever since I have gained pleasure from being creative. From dancing to acting to choreography. I have taught drama and dance in many schools across Manchester in the last four years and have now found another passion that is ZUMBA.
I enjoy many salsa and reggaton tracks, after all I am half Jamaican so dancing is in my blood, my favourite track is ‘Dance of the
blah blah blah’. Zumba for me provides enjoyement also a realease and arelease inches off my hips, waist and can you believe it, my calves.

Hello. My name is Carole Kay.
I was introduced to Zumba earlier this year by one of my girlfriends just after I had retired from my day job. It is the most exhilerating and exciting form of exercise I have ever done expecially when it comes to wiggling your tush (shaking your hips and bum).
Well anyway, needless to say, I wanted to get more involved and help Shirley doing her day to day ‘chores’ so you might see me around a bit.

Gill Thomas
Hi my name is Gillian but I prefer to be known to as Gill. I am a Level 4 personal trainer based in Rochdale.
Since my initial training I have continued to educate myself and keep up to date with current trends by attending courses and constantly reading. I believe that training sessions should be informal and fun, believing that there is nothing worse than boring and tedious exercise.
I also teach classes such as Zumba, aerobics, Circuits etc.
I am looking forward to seeing you all at Wow Camp.

Hi my name is Taira and I’m from Norden.
I have been in the fitness industry for seventeen years (try not to gasp, I realise my looks deceive me and I don’t look a day over 21! I have 3 words for you ladies Oil Of Ulay !!!)
On a serious note though I have been teaching and coaching various types of fitness activities Swimming, Aqua, Spinning, Tai-Bo, Gymnastics and Trampolining to mention a few.
I worked in a Manchester based college for ten years with students that had acute learning difficulties, I adapted my knowledge and training to provide

individual and group exercise sessions. I loved the job but as a growing family and travelling distance became difficult I decided a change was in order and I took a post as a Sport Lecturer in a local college. For the past 4 years I have been delivering fitness courses, including Exercise to music, Circuit, Gym instructor, Fitness for Children etc to people who have chosen to persue a career in fitness.
I’m a busy lady with a husband and three beautiful little daughters. You can frequently find me shaking and shimmying through the house practicing my Zumba dancing with my eldest two Kodie & Tyler or perhaps chest pressing my newest little addition Lara preparing for the next Wow camp session.

| Hi I’m Colette from Manchester. You will have seen me in one of Shirley, Simone or Becky’s class.
I was introduced to Zumba in January 2011 and I absolutely loved it, I had so much fun that I decided it was something that I would really love to get into and teach. I have danced since I was 6 years old taking exams and competing in competitions in the UK. My favourite style is Reggaton but I love anything fast and energetic! I am currently covering the Tuesday 8pm class at Parrenthorn and sometimes cover at Middleton and Manchester Maccabi, so maybe I will see you in one of my classes soon! |

Hi my name is Michelle and you will most likely have seen me at Shirley's Zumbathon charity events and Zumba Fitness Classes.![]() I have been involved doing dance / fitness classes for many years for my own interest and wellbeing. I also performed on TV as a cheerleader in the past and worked as a cabaret dancer. Taking part in Master Classes with Beto Perez the creator of Zumba Fitness is what inspired me to become an instructor. This was also my first encounter with Shirley and a few Zumbathons and classes later led to my involvement with Her Fitness which is an amazing company founded and managed by an amazing lady (Shirley Sadler). I have since trianed in Zumba Sentao, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold, and Zumba Toning aswell as Zumba Fitness and keep invovled in instructor choregraphy training for ongoing professional development. The moment I first ever saw Zumba Fitness I knew I was hooked and now enjoy the experience of teaching great people like yourselves ![]() |
